It makes a lot of good points but says a lot of untruths and failed to realise that some of the countries he says will just fall by the waste side are still heavily populated with big military’s and nuclear weapons, for example he says that the caucuses and even Armenia and Georgia will be taken over by turkey, I can tell you even if the Turks could beat the Russians which they almost certainly can’t a mushroom shaped cloud would appear on a few Turkish cites. He also supposers that the Tatar’s could try to brake away from Russia and says they have good demographics, they actually have a birth rate the same as ethnic Russians and only number 2 million in their own republic which numbers 1.6 million ethic Russians, the chance of them getting independents from Russia without significant help from a would power is next to 0. Do more research about the world before you write nonsense

Icarus
My first book
This is by far Zeihan’s best work in my opinion, despite being older than two of his other books. Does a great job laying out the current global situation. This book, along with Disunited Nations, drives home the fact that up until the mid-20th century, world history was dominated by empires who needed to expand because they didn’t have the resources at home, and that our current setup is not the historical norm.
Recommended even for those who couldn’t care less about US geography. I also suggest doing your own research on the Petrodollar because Zeihan neglects to go into further detail.
